This listing is for a gorgeous Tiffany "Favrile" blue iridescent Art Glass open dish or finger bowl, c. 1900.
Measures 1 1/2" high with a 2 3/4" diameter base and a 5" diameter top.
This beautiful Favrile glass bowl has a gracefully scalloped upper edge and ribbed design.  The vibrant dark blue iridescent glass body is stunning with highlights of purple, gold and green iridescence.  M
arked with the etched signature "L. C. Tiffany, Favrile, X578".  The "X" prefix was generally used for experimental pieces.  A gold iridescent glass finger bowl in the same style is pictured on page 97 in the book

he condition is excellent with no chips, cracks or repairs.
"Favrile" glass was patented by Louis Comfort Tiffany in 1894 and along with Frederick Carder's "Aurene" glass made for Steuben, this glass set the highest standard for iridescent glass at the turn of the 20th century.
