This listing is for a lovely Tiffany Favrile gold iridescent Art Glass miniature cabinet vase or toothpick holder, c. 1900.
This lovely item has vibrant gold iridescence. Although unm
arked, we believe this piece was made by Tiffany.
The condition is excellent with no chips, cracks or repairs.
Measures 2 1/4" high with the top opening being 1 7/8" in diameter.
"Favrile" glass was patented by Louis Comfort Tiffany in 1894 and along with Frederick Carder's "Aurene" glass made for Steuben, this glass set the highest standard for iridescent glass at the turn of the 20th Century. Arthur Nash is credited for much of the striking and desirable work produced by Tiffany.
