These are the TWO official dated pins used by the members of the Olympic Team from the small Atlantic island nation of
SAO TOME & PRINCIPE
who participated in the Summer Olympic Games held in
ATHENS
in 2004.    Sao Tome, a country which almost lies directly on the Equator, loves to display its incredible jungle flora and fauna.  For such a small country, and for such a new country in the Olympic Family, collectors were surprised to see the quality of Sao Tome's pins for Sydney, and then again in Athens.
These nicely-designed pins are decorated in true cloisonne.  They both  have their original military clutch closures and, of course, the Olympic rings . . . dated for Athens. . .
