    RARE 1909 DETROIT TIGERS BASEBALL WORLD SERIES BRASS STICKPIN PIN BUTTON TY COBB
    .5" dia.  "D" logo in two layers of black over white glass with the glass held by thin brass rim which leads to a side edge of brass designed as three concentric circles. Reverse is open with a brass wire on the inner perimeter which joins to an extra long brass stickpin 2-7/8" in length.  The 1909 Detroit Tigers ball club were the champions of the American League with a final regular season record of 98-54 under future Hall of Fame manager Hughie Jennings. Ty Cobb and Sam Crawford were the offensive stalwarts of a team that ultimately lost to the Pittsburgh Pirates in a hotly contested 1909 World Series, four games to three.
