This listing is for a lovely Tiffany FAVRILE gold iridescent Art Glass salt cellar, c. 1900.
This nice salt cellar has a gracefully scalloped upper edge and faint ribbed design.  The vibrant gold iridescent glass body has highlights of purple, blue and green iridescence. M
arked with etched signature "L. C. T." on base.
This lovely salt is pictured on page 22, Illustration #42 of the book
The Open Salt Compendium"
by Sandra Jzyk & Nina Robertson.
Measures 1" high and 2 5/8" in diameter. Weighs 2.7 ounces.
This nice salt cellar is in excellent Estate condition with no noted flaws and reflects only minimal signs of normal wear.
"Favrile" glass was patented by Louis Comfort Tiffany in 1894 and along with Frederick Carder's "Aurene" glass made for Steuben, this glass set the highest standard for iridescent glass at the turn of the 20th century.
